An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Driver at the Avonmouth site. The main purpose of this role is to drive and operate an LGV vehicle in accordance with Department of Transport regulations, EU driver hours rules, other statutory regulations and company safety and health requirements. Within these overriding guidelines, deliver bulk and bag products to customers in an efficient, cost‑effective and professional manner.

The role comprises an average of a 48‑hour working week on a 5‑over‑7 (Tuesday to Saturday) shift pattern, with flexible start times between 03:00 am and 10:00 am (day shifts) to meet operational demand for both Bag and Bulk.

• Working Safely.
• Drive and operate the LGV vehicle in accordance with legislation, including the essential daily vehicle safety checks.
• Unloading and delivering flour sacks from LGVs to customers’ premises in accordance with company operating procedures (where applicable).
• Discharge bulk flour in accordance with company operating procedures (where applicable).
• Assist in training and development of colleagues.
• Deal with customers in a professional manner.
• Communicate between vehicle and office when identified as necessary.
• Clean vehicles (where applicable) at specified intervals and ensure deliveries are undertaken in a hygienic manner.
• Complete paperwork in respect of vehicle defect procedures, working time, deliveries and safety observation reports.

• Holder of relevant LGV licence for vehicle driven.
• Experience and training in manual handling work.
• Experience in customer relations.
• Knowledge of flour products and food hygiene.
• Possess Driver Certificate of Professional Competence.
• Numeracy and literacy skills.
• Good communication skills.
