Transport Manager

Hunter James Recruitment are assisting our client - a well-established National organisation with their search for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join their busy facility in Bristol Responsibilities will include:
To be self-motivated, plan and exceed service delivery expectations and manage the resources required for the department Management of drivers, maintaining their schedule and recording their profiles in conjunction with the supervisors and managers. Organise and carry out successful driver recruitment throughout the year Ensure all accident and damage reports are investigated and costs attributed correctly in conjunction with accounts invoicing.

Ensure that all necessary reports, documents, schedules and diaries are maintained Plan and action all movements in conjunction with Operations Distribution office Team Work closely with the team ensure all site health & safety procedures are adhered to. Uphold and enforce the drivers compliance policy. Ensure drivers hours are maximised but not exceeded, including accurate timesheet management. Ensure continuous legal management of drivers hours & WTD regulations are being managed throughout the year THE CANDIDATE Ideally the candidate will have strong experience within a Transport Supervisory / Managerial role Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines A high level of IT literacy In Return we are offer a Competitive Salary plus great company benefits
