Job Title: AA Signs Installer

Location: Bristol

Contract: Full time - Permanent

Salary: £25,875

Hours: Annualised hours of 2080 per year.

What you’ll be doing
  • Installing and removing AA signs and traffic management equipment for events, working alone or as part of a team.
  • Supporting the UK’s best and largest events by placing and removing temporary directional signs.
  • Visiting various events around the country, with a minimum of 12 days away each year.
Requirements
  • Full category B driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Physically fit to carry heavy lifting of signs and equipment up to 25 kg.
  • Comfortable working with and adapting to new technology.
  • Willing to work from a ladder at the roadside, up to a height of 3.5 metres.
  • Self‑starter, able to work independently and collaborate with the team.
  • Organiser, able to check signs and equipment, follow maps, schedules, and use knowledge of the national road network.
Special Conditions
  • Annualised hours – paid the same salary each month, working hours flex to meet operational demands (e.g. 5 hour days in winter, 11 hour days in summer).
  • Irregular but flexible working patterns and rest day schedules linked to peak summer event periods.
  • Required to work outdoors on the highway and event sites in all weather conditions without supervision.
  • High degree of flexibility to adapt to the business working pattern.
