As a member of our Ground Operations Team at Bristol Airport
, our Baggage Handlers play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of customers’ luggage.

• Be Present:
  Undertake accurate loading and allocation of baggage from the Bag Hall to the correct aircraft. Unload inbound baggage items for return flights, ensuring correct distribution onto Baggage Carousels.
• Take Responsibility:
  Drive our airside vehicles and transport baggage to our aircraft with safety in mind and in line with Service Level Agreements.
• Create Memories:
  Handle customers’ luggage with care and ensure we work effectively to allow customers to depart on time.
• Work as One Team:
  Support operation and colleagues in times of disruption and delays.

• Understand the importance of safety and accountability.
• Be comfortable working in confined spaces when loading luggage into aircraft.
• Remain calm and focused under pressure in a fast-paced environment and during disruptions.
• Be adaptable, self‑motivated, and enjoy working as part of a team.

In order to work safely in an airside environment and operate our vehicles, candidates must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to pass a Medical, administered by the airport.

• £15.17 per hour, plus an additional £3.79 per hour allowance for unsociable hours (11:00pm - 04:59am).

• 34 days holiday entitlement per annum (pro rata for part time).

• Fixed Term Contract until November 2026. Potential to return for Summer 2027.
• 20 or 30 hour per week contracts available.
• Rostered shifts: 4 shifts in a row followed by 2 rest days; patterns may vary. Extra rest days may be added during the season.
• Rosters are provided four weeks in advance.
