Join Cafcass as an Agency Social Worker supporting children and families navigating family court proceedings across the Bristol, Reading, Oxford and Swindon areas. This is a vital role for experienced Social Work practitioners who can deliver high‑quality safeguarding assessments and provide clear, evidence‑based recommendations in both Public and Private Law contexts.

You will undertake early safeguarding enquiries, complete child-focused assessments, meet children and families, and deliver robust analysis in the form of written court reports. Court experience is essential, and your suitability for specific teams (Public Law, Private Law, or Work to First Hearing) will be determined during the interview process.

Key Requirements:

SWE‑registered Social Worker
Social Work qualification
Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months (via agency)
Full UK Right to Work (no sponsorship available)
Full UK driving licence

Experience of safeguarding, assessment, analysis, and court work
Desirable: 3+ years post-qualifying experience

Contract Details:

Rate: £37.75 per hour

37 per week

Induction:
Mix of remote and office-based learning
Office attendance:
Monthly, with weekly virtual meetings
Recruitment process:
