Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week.

We are wishing to appoint three Children’s Social Care Assistants with a talent for administration and an interest in supporting teams working with children in care and their networks and families in the central area of Bristol. We welcome individuals who celebrate the diversity of Bristol and want to be involved supporting children in care. For those who are interested in a career in social care this is an excellent first step.

This role will involve daily use of spreadsheets/data systems and an ability to respond to a wide range of processes. You will have regular contact with children, young people and families, as well as other professionals supporting our Social Workers and Key Workers to provide a responsive service to vulnerable children and their families. There will also be contact with professionals and families visiting the building, so you will need to be able to respond effectively to enquiries.

You will need strong organisation and administrative skills, the capacity to work under pressure, and the ability to be responsive to changes. Key skills include creating systems to keep the team functioning, creating and using spreadsheets, and uploading performance information onto our key database. Good communication skills and an ability to use initiative to support the work of the team are essential qualities.

Please note this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check as you will be dealing with highly confidential information about vulnerable people.
