We are wishing to appoint two Children’s Social Care Assistants with a talent for administration and an interest in supporting teams working with families in the East and Central Area of Bristol. Our area serves a diverse population, and we welcome candidates who celebrate the diversity of East Central and want to be involved in the area we serve. For those who are interested in a career in social care this is an excellent first step.
This role will involve a daily use of spreadsheets/data systems and an ability to respond to a wide range of processes. You will have regular contact with children, young people and families supporting our Social Workers and Key Workers to provide a responsive service to vulnerable children and their families. There will be contact with professionals and families visiting the building so you will need to be able to respond effectively to enquiries.
You will need strong organisation and administrative skills, a capacity to work under pressure, and an ability to be responsive to changes. The key skills necessary are being able to create systems to keep the team functioning, create and use spreadsheets, upload performance information onto our key database. Good communication skills and an ability to use initiative to support the work of the team are essential qualities.
Please note this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check as the successful candidate will be dealing with highly confidential information about vulnerable people.
