Role Overview
We are growing our electrical division to meet the ever‑increasing needs of our expanding business. To help us achieve this we are looking for a Mobile Electrician to work within our team in the Bristol area. In this role you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment between branches and customer sites across the south region in a safe, professional and efficient manner.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 40 hours per week as well as being part of an on‑call rota; this can be variable depending on the needs of the business.
- Carry out electrical installation work efficiently in accordance with the current I.E.E. Regulations for Electrical Installations and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
- Maintain, install, service and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and any customer units to legislative standards.
- Produce reports and estimates for repair sets and advise on safety issues.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, keeping work areas and vehicles clean.
- Adhere to all necessary Risk Assessment/Method Statements.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with manager and internal/external customers about timelines, quality and service levels.
- Be self‑driven, work independently to manage own workload and call outs.
- Attend call outs for the branch as part of a call‑out rota (1 in 6 weeks).
- JIB Qualified Electrician and capability to obtain an ECS Gold card – 18th edition.
- Full UK driving licence (company van provided).
- Proven practical electrical engineering skills and experience.
- Possess or be able to obtain an ECS Gold Card or relevant qualifications/experience in Electrical Installations.
