Location:

Bristol, South West (commutable from Bath, Filton, Avonmouth, Portishead, Newport, Gloucester, Swindon)
Rate: £18.00 - £22.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours:

Up to 50 hours per week + overtime

Are you an experienced Electrician's Mate or Electrical Improver looking for long-term industrial work locally to Bristol?

We are recruiting Industrial Electrician's Mates / Electrical Improvers to support installation and maintenance works at a busy water treatment plant.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering consistent hours, overtime and work secured for up to 5 years.

This role is ideal for improvers with industrial site experience who want stable work on a major infrastructure project.

The Role - Electrical Mate / Electrical Improver (Contract)

You will be supporting Industrial Electricians with installation and maintenance across plant equipment in a live utilities environment.

Duties include:

Assisting with installation of containment (tray, ladder rack, trunking)
Pulling and routing SWA and control cabling
Glanding and terminating cables (under supervision where required)
Assisting with installation of motors, pumps and control panels
Supporting testing and commissioning activities
Maintaining safe working standards on a live industrial site

This is industrial electrical work within a water treatment environment - not domestic or commercial.

Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

ECS Card (essential)
Proven experience as an Electrician's Mate or Electrical Improver
Experience on industrial or construction sites
Ability to read basic electrical drawings
Strong understanding of containment and cabling
Full UK driving licence preferred

Desirable:

Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical qualification
18th Edition (beneficial)
Previous water treatment, utilities or heavy industrial experience

Applicants must have previous site experience. Trainees without site experience will not be considered.
