Salary:
£42,000
Hours:
42.5 per week (Mon–Thu 7:30am–4:45pm, Fri 7:30am–3:45pm)

HGV Technician Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Based Technician to join our Bristol team. This is a permanent role offering excellent benefits, long-term security, and the opportunity to work in a well-equipped, professional workshop environment.
As a Workshop Technician, you’ll carry out service, maintenance, and repair work to the highest standards. You’ll diagnose faults, complete paperwork accurately, and work closely with the Workshop Manager and Service Controllers to keep jobs on track. A strong focus on safe working practices, teamwork, and delivering first-time fixes will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician
Perform all types of service and repair work efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Diagnose faults and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Communicate job progress to the Service Manager and Controllers.
Maintain accurate records including worksheets and time sheets.
Support parts and service promotions when appropriate.
Highlight technical issues and provide feedback to support continuous improvement.
Maintain excellent workshop housekeeping standards and present a professional image.
Work independently while contributing to a strong team spirit.
Carry out occasional on-site support when required.
HGV Technician experience required
Previous experience in a commercial vehicle workshop
Strong technical and diagnostic skills.
Time served or qualified on heavies
