We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent Mercedes-Benz specialist garage in Bristol, seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic who is genuinely passionate about the trade and committed to delivering high-quality work.
About the Role
This role is suited to a committed, forward-thinking mechanic who enjoys being hands-on while also taking an interest in how the business operates and can continuously improve. You will work on a wide range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, contributing to a workshop culture built around quality, trust, and mutual respect.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to Mercedes-Benz vehicles to a consistently high standard
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, or actively develop diagnostic skills with support and training
* Work with a zero-defects mentality, ensuring work is completed right first time
* Maintain accurate records and communicate clearly with colleagues regarding vehicle condition and required work
* Contribute ideas and suggestions to help improve workshop efficiency, customer experience, and business performance
* Plan work effectively and think ahead to ensure smooth workflow and minimal downtime
About You
* Fully qualified Motor Mechanic with a strong and stable work history
* Passionate about the motor trade and able to evidence commitment to the role and profession
* Commercially minded, with an understanding of time, cost, and customer expectations
* Interested in the wider business and motivated to contribute to its growth and improvement
* Comfortable with a give-and-take working environment — supportive, flexible, and team-focused
* Experienced in diagnostics or enthusiastic to learn and develop advanced diagnostic skills
* Highly organised, a forward planner, and takes ownership of their work
* Quality-driven, detail-focused, and committed to maintaining high standards at all times
