Installation Operative

Overview

Selwood is the leading pump rental solutions company in the UK, expanding into Europe. The Installation Operative role at Workdry International Ltd focuses on installing piping across construction, wastewater, and clean water sites.

• Promote and exercise the company’s mission statement and core values to deliver a high‑quality installation service across the UK.
• Install pipework and assist drivers with loading, unloading, and checking paperwork, missing items, damages, and fuel charges.
• Maintain a safe work environment, demonstrating confidence, knowledge, and experience to stop installation when safety issues arise.
• Identify and recommend creative solutions and processes to improve efficiency.
• Work out on customer sites, predominantly in Bristol branch but travel throughout the UK as required.

• Experience with in civil engineering, construction industry, or armed forces background.
• Full UK driving licence (no more than 6 points).
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work away from home when required.
• Flexible working hours and availability for on‑call rota (likely 1 in 3 weekends).
• Good level of fitness for a physically demanding role.
• Legal requirement: safety critical medical examination.

• Holder of a construction skills CSCS card.
• National Water Hygiene Card.
• Confined space training.
• Forklift truck operator certification.
• Understanding of temporary/permanent pumping solutions.
