Summary Statement:

The purpose of this position is to ensure the achievement of new business objectives by managing and expanding the existing client base, targeting and converting key opposition accounts, setting and achieving sales targets, and driving revenue growth through personal performance. The role involves following best management practices in all areas related to new equipment sales procedures, promoting customer-oriented service, and aligning actions with the company's strategic vision.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty and key performance area. This list is not exhaustive and may be adjusted to meet business needs:

  • Achieve unit sales, growth, and profitability targets within an assigned sales territory.
  • Meet new sales growth and market share increase objectives by analyzing, preparing, and implementing strategies to target and convert opposition accounts.
  • Ensure high-quality customer interactions and service by developing strategies for proper coverage of the sales territory, building partnerships, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Manage deals financially in line with budgets and company strategies, including rental business quality, order targets, invoicing, gross profit, stock management, and administrative support functions.
  • Plan, prepare, and achieve new equipment sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Prepare and present reports as required.
  • Ensure administrative procedures are correctly followed.
  • Drive customer service excellence and maintain good relations and communication with customers.
  • Participate in growing the department in line with company requirements.
  • Develop and implement operational innovations.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Training, and

Experience:
  • 3–5 years of experience and knowledge in truck-mounted cranes for various applications.
  • Experience performing Trailer Win stability calculations for specific applications, including trailer design, load distribution, and crane stability.
  • Deep understanding of the truck market and business.
  • Proven success and experience in commercial truck sales.
  • Knowledge of the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996.
  • Strong work ethic—honest, reliable, hardworking, dedicated, and pride in work.
  • Dedication to service excellence with a focus on internal and external customer service.
  • Ability to guide customers through the sales process, structure, and present solutions confidently at all organizational levels, including senior decision-makers.
