We’re looking for a Merchandising Team Leader based in Bristol!
You will be an integral part of a field‑based retail merchandising team, working in a range of high street retailers on behalf of exciting household‑name brands. We work across a variety of categories including Books and Entertainment, Fashion, Grocery, Health and Beauty, Beers, Wines and Spirits, and Toys.
About the role- Ideal recruitment area is Bristol.
- Weekly hours will be a minimum of 30, split between a minimum of 12 hours of supervisory tasks (paid at £12.70 per hour) and merchandising tasks (paid at £12.21 per hour).
- Shift patterns are Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.
- The role will be a fixed‑term contract ending 30 March 2026, with possible permanent opportunities thereafter.
- Support the coordination of the merchandising schedule for merchandisers in your area.
- Coach and train fellow merchandisers on merchandising principles and correct processes and procedures to ensure a high‑quality service to clients.
- Adhere to merchandising standards and guidelines, store policies and procedures, and health and safety guidance.
- Follow and implement planograms, where provided, to guarantee consistency and compliance.
- Arrange and organise products on shelves and displays to maximise visibility and appeal.
- Set up promotional displays and signage to effectively communicate prices, discounts, and special offers.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with in‑store colleagues, particularly department and store managers.
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to client account teams via the feedback application as the eyes and ears in the stores.
- Happy to travel across the defined area.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car that can be used for business purposes.
- Comfortable with manual handling; able to move and arrange products from the warehouse to the shop floor.
- Experience of retail merchandising, retail and/or customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑directed, thriving on ownership of work within set time frames and using initiative to find solutions.
- Take pride in delivering great standards and service for clients.
- Experience supervising, training, or coaching colleagues is a bonus.
- Willing to accept home deliveries of point‑of‑sale or stock items for some visits (paid extra).
- Confident using a company tablet to download briefs, take photos and answer questions about tasks.
