Your Role in Building Brighter FuturesAs a Catering Assistant at Saltford School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in food preparation and ensuring presentation standards are met.
- Providing polite, friendly, and personal service to all students and staff.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene, health, and safety within the kitchen and service areas.
- Supporting the catering team by following instructions and contributing positively to daily operations.
- Handling and securing cash accurately (if applicable) and promoting sales activities within the unit.
- Ensuring equipment is clean and functional while adhering to cleaning schedules and health regulations.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant who:
- Holds a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (Essential).
- Has previous catering experience, ideally within a school environment (Desirable).
- Demonstrates a positive and reliable attitude with good spoken communication skills.
- Is able to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions effectively.
- Shows flexibility, energy, and enthusiasm for providing excellent service.
- Demonstrates a passion for creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all members of our school community.
- Aligns with our trust-wide values by bringing a positive, collaborative approach to their work and a willingness to continuously develop professionally.
