Job Overview

A coeducation day school in Bristol with a separate nursery, separate prep school through to main senior school. Catering for around 900 students and teachers daily. Our cre catering offer is morning purchased snack offer, lunch is served in the main dining hall, separate lunch is sent to the nursery facility. Also a sixth form café serving tea, coffee, pastries and hot snacks.

This location has a good amount of high‑end hospitality. The school operates Monday to Friday with catering for match teas only on Saturday. Additional benefits to this location are use of on‑site gym and free parking facilities.

• Work well in a team of chefs providing catering services to pupils and teachers.
• Produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company's brand standards.
• Ensure company food standards are adhered to and wastage is controlled.
• Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• Work in a fast‑paced kitchen at CDP or junior Sous Chef level.
• Be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus.
• Showcase your skillset creatively.
• Have some knowledge of pastry section (bread making / brownies) would be beneficial but not essential.
• Bring a genuine interest in food and excellent customer service.
• Be an all‑round team player.
• Show innovation and passion for great food.
• Organise and maintain attention to detail.
• Understand basic food cost and wastage management.

• Previous experience working within a fast‑paced kitchen at CDP or junior Sous Chef level.
• Creativity and the opportunity to showcase skillset.
• Knowledge or interest in pastry beneficial.

• Demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
• Similar experience of customer and/or food preparation environment is preferred.
• Demonstrate ability to comply with DBS and reference checks.
