Job Summary
You are committed to providing top quality patient care, ideally with 12 months of general practice experience. You want to work as part of a large and dedicated team (currently 5 nurses and 4 HCAs) recently described by patients as ‘brilliant and very knowledgeable’ and ‘professional and friendly’. We have a vacancy for a committed nurse associate/practice nurse to work around 30 hrs per week, initially on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
If you want to:
- Provide excellent care for patients across a range of chronic diseases and conditions
- Benefit from a well‑established multi‑disciplinary team including pharmacists, first contact physios, health & wellbeing coaches and social prescribers
- Join a practice where training and development is a major part of what we do (e.g., New to Practice programme, IP qualifications, and welcoming trainee doctors, nurses and other colleagues)
- Contribute to a high‑functioning PCN making a real difference to the services we provide, recently welcoming another practice
- Be part of a practice where the staff wellbeing committee organises events to benefit all staff year‑round (e.g., advent calendar treats in December, ice cream days, fruit bowls)
We prefer someone with at least 12 months of general practice nursing or nurse associate experience, ideally with chronic disease work. We will consider colleagues from other nursing backgrounds who can demonstrate transferable skills and a desire to work in general practice.
Working hours are within a flexible shift pattern between 8:00‑6:30 pm Monday‑Friday, with occasional Saturdays 8:15‑5:00 pm and some weekday evenings until 8:00 pm on a rota basis. Salary depends on experience: £27,400‑30,100 WTE for a nurse associate and £33,750‑35,700 WTE for a nurse.
PLEASE NOTE:
Interviews will take place on 19 and 20.03.2026. Virtual interviews will be an option, if required.
