The Named Nurse for Safeguarding Children and Lead for Domestic Abuse and Child Protection – Information Systems (CP‑IS) plays a pivotal role in ensuring UHBW delivers safe and effective care, adhering to the Human Rights Act (1998), Children Act 1989/2004, Domestic Abuse Act (2021), Mental Capacity Act (MCA, 2005) and the Mental Capacity Amendment Act (2019) and Care Act (2014). This incorporates any legislative statutory guidance e.g. Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023.
