Position: Events Manager - 9-12 month maternity cover

We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Global Events Manager to develop and deliver IPAF’s international events programme. Working closely with the Head of Membership & Communications and the Head of Regional Development, you will lead the planning and execution of both virtual and in-person events that support IPAF’s strategic objectives and deliver value for our members.

You will play a key role in shaping IPAF’s global events strategy, managing event delivery, and ensuring every event provides an excellent experience for attendees, partners, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a global events strategy aligned with IPAF’s objectives and three-year plan.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver a programme of virtual and in-person events worldwide.
  • Oversee all aspects of event planning and delivery, including venue selection, logistics, vendor management, and budgeting.
  • Ensure events are delivered within agreed budgets, with a focus on covering costs or generating profit.
  • Work closely with Country Managers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure successful event delivey.
  • Develop sponsorship opportunities and packages in collaboration with the Marketing Manager to attract industry partners.
  • Collaborate with the Membership and Communications team to promote events and maximise attendance.
  • Manage event registration systems, attendee communications, and engagement activities.
  • Coordinate on-site event operations for key IPAF events, including Elevation events, trade shows, and exhibitions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for event-related enquiries.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and reporting, including attendance metrics, feedback, and ROI analysis.
  • Use insights to continually improve future events.
Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant degree or marketing qualification.
  • Have excellent organisation, planning, and time management skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Be calm and resilient under pressure.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of additional languages would be an advantage.
Experience
  • Experience managing event budgets and suppliers.
