Responsibilities

  • Manages communication projects and delivers clear, consistent and effective day‑to‑day communications within the company, often working on employee‑facing communications such as newsletters, intranet content, and internal campaigns to ensure employees are well‑informed, engaged and aligned with the company goals.
  • Supports the communication and engagement strategy for colleagues at all stages of their lifecycle with the company, continuously improving the quality and level of interaction from transactional and operations communications to strategic communications.
  • Develops communication strategies by creating and implementing comprehensive internal communication plans to effectively convey key company messages, initiatives, and policies.
  • Creates content through writing, editing and producing communications assets, including emails, newsletters, posters, intranet content, video, and photography to ensure clear, engaging, and accurate messaging.
  • Produces impactful multimedia content, including photographing and filming senior leaders and colleagues, and editing videos to enhance employee initiatives and boost colleague engagement.
  • Oversees intranet management, ensuring content is relevant, up‑to‑date and easily accessible, and collaborates with stakeholders to establish individual SharePoint sites tailored to their business functions.
  • Supports internal events such as town halls, employee recognition programs, and other initiatives through clear and engaging communication and delivery.
  • Ensures all internal communications are aligned with the company’s brand and values, maintaining consistency across all channels and managing visual content through image libraries and the brand hub.
  • Collaborates with community partners (currently the Big Issue) to implement both internal and external fundraising campaigns that support partnerships and advance the Sustainability Agenda.
  • Serves as an AI champion by leveraging AI to enhance the efficiency of business functions and practices, continuously driving improvements that benefit the business.
  • Hosts engaging training sessions for various teams across the business to share knowledge on specialized subjects such as SharePoint functionality, digital signage, and AI usage.
  • Oversees corporate social media channels by crafting compelling copy and creating engaging infographics and multimedia content to drive user engagement and enhance the online presence.
  • Supports business transformation projects to enhance organisational efficiency and drive growth by creating and distributing leadership communication toolkits, monthly managers’ packs, and other key deliverables.
  • Maintains the website, writing and uploading content, ensuring SEO requirements, while also working on continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Excellent level of computer literacy and skills, with considerable experience across SharePoint and various website CMS systems (Umbraco, Word Press), ecommerce systems, and email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in photography, videography, editing and design, using tools including Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
  • Experience in email and social media marketing, with the ability to create and manage reports.
  • Good organisational, planning and project management skills.
  • Creative approach to content creation and communication, taking initiative and exploring different approaches with commercial awareness.
  • Proactive, energetic and enthusiastic about connecting with people and building strong relationships.
  • Ability to work in partnership with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Experience in the drinks or hospitality industry and knowledge of wine, spirits and beer is beneficial.
  • A keen interest in digital marketing, communication and engagement trends.
