Overview

Stirling Dynamics is seeking a Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our Business Development & Marketing team on a fixed‑term contract. This role is responsible for delivering the marketing activities of our industry‑leading engineering business. You will work closely with senior technical specialists, the business, and sales teams to ensure the successful activation of strategic marketing initiatives.

This role will be based in our Bristol office; however, as part of our commitment to flexible working, we also accept hybrid working. Occasional travel may be required to support industry events.

The contract is expected to last for 12-18 months, allowing the successful candidate to work alongside the existing Marketing Manager for a significant hand‑over before she goes on maternity leave. Our preference is for the role to be part‑time initially (3 days per week), increasing to full‑time in August 2026. However, if this is not possible, we will consider full‑time from the beginning of the contract.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver marketing activity aligned to the 2026 marketing strategy & plan and develop the 2027 strategy in conjunction with our Head of Business Development & Marketing.
  • Work with business leads to maintain an integrated sales and marketing approach.
  • Deliver key marketing projects to support development of CRM, website and brand.
  • Events – deliver a full events calendar including 2-3 international exhibitions and support colleague participation at 30+ events.
  • Social media – support the Senior Marketing Executive in managing the monthly social media calendar, including content ideation, drafting and posting updates, and use of paid social.
  • Website – manage our website, including SEO, with support from our web agency.
  • Brand and design – maintain the brand across all channels, with support from external designers.
  • Reporting – produce monthly marketing reports for senior management, Board and Group.
  • Content and comms – develop campaign messaging, copywrite case studies, blog posts and press releases. Generate new content ideas with business unit leads and subject matter experts.
  • Manage marketing campaigns across proposition development, content, digital channels, SEO, events, social media and advertising.
  • Video – use video to support specific campaigns or business units, with support from a video agency.
  • Budget management – deliver marketing against the 2026 budget.
  • Supplier management – coordinate web agency, graphic designers, event booth builders and video agency.
  • Stakeholder management – work with senior management, board members, technical experts and business support services.
  • People management – effectively manage and develop the Senior Marketing Executive.
  • Lead and execute lead‑generation campaigns.

Experience

The successful candidate must have experience as a Marketing Manager (or similar), ideally within the technology or engineering sector. They should have experience working across the full breadth of marketing activities, including event delivery, devising strategies and plans, managing budgets, and working with external agencies including copywriters, creatives and digital agencies.
