Overview

As a Mindful Employer we recognise that in the UK, people experiencing mental ill health continue to report stigma and discrimination. We are committed to creating a supportive and open culture, where colleagues are able to talk about mental health. We are also committed to ensuring that our employees feel safe in disclosing any mental health conditions and confident that they will be properly supported and offered reasonable adjustments when required.

The main purpose of the role is to support the Communications and Partnerships team to market Power to Change's opportunities to the community business sector. Whether launching a new multi-million pound funding round, promoting our events and national campaigns, hosting a webinar to share insight from our latest research report or writing our newsletter, you'll be helping us to share the right support with the right people to make the sector more resilient.

You’ll report to the Communications Manager and work closely with the rest of the Power to Change team. We are looking for a creative and adaptable marketer with strong copywriting skills and an eye for impactful images, who can coordinate communications activities across the business, manage our social media accounts and coordinate creative, on-brand content across our printed collateral, social channels, videos, websites and blog.

Responsibilities
  • Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies, including managing paid advertising, content ideas and production, implementation schedules, evaluation and reporting
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with relevant teams. For example, if you are promoting a research report you would work with our Research and Policy team.
  • Grow and expand Power to Change's social media following on existing platforms including Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, and Instagram
  • Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web pages, case studies and blog content, and social media posts
  • Work with agencies to coordinate film productions, podcast production, Community Business Weekend campaign, brand refresh, annual report etc.
  • Manage leads and run email campaigns using the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) and Mailchimp
  • Responsible for keeping our websites up to date and reporting on website performance to inform development.
  • Design and produce collateral such as social media graphics, event leaflets, business cards
  • Ensure all our communications are inclusive and accessible
  • Advise the rest of the Power to Change team on communications and marketing best practice
Ad hoc tasks

Ad hoc tasks and responding to queries from stakeholders are included. This job description is issued as a guideline to assist you in your duties and is not exhaustive. Because of the evolving nature and changing demands of our work this job description may be subject to change. You may, on occasions, be required to undertake additional or other duties within the context of this job description.
