Food Technologist

The Technical Team are responsible for keeping everything safe, legal and customer compliant and as a Technologist you will be working closely with the customer, having a clear understanding of their requirements in terms of product and packaging specifications. You have responsibility for maintaining and updating technical information and will liaise with customers and sales, dealing with customer queries and processing product and technical information.

• Direct interface with major retail customers managing all aspects of product integrity from technical enquiries to product launches
• Completing technical specifications and offering technical service support
• Product sampling and benchmarking
• Project management from NPD to product launch
• Packaging development and approval
• Supplier management
• Awareness of retailer requirements and legislation changes

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Great attitude and mind set, with attention to detail
• Educated to a degree level in a food related degree
• Experience with in the food industry
• Ideally experience of writing specifications
• Knowledge of HACCP and BRC will be advantageous
• Knowledge of retailer systems will be advantageous
