Are you highly organised, detail focused, and confident managing goods in and goods out within a busy operational environment?

We are looking for a hands‑on Material Controller - Portsmouth to take ownership of the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of materials. This is a critical role where accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail are essential to ensure production runs smoothly and customers receive their orders on time.

You will play a key role in controlling stock, ensuring materials are correctly booked in, stored efficiently, and issued accurately to support operational demands.

• Managing the full goods‑in process, ensuring all incoming materials are checked, verified, and accurately booked into the system
• Maintaining complete accuracy when recording stock movements within the ERP system
• Ensuring materials are stored correctly and are easy to locate and access
• Picking, issuing, and kitting materials accurately to support production requirements
• Managing goods‑out, ensuring finished products are correctly prepared, documented, and dispatched on time
• Supporting stock accuracy through regular stock checks and cycle counts
• Investigating and resolving stock discrepancies quickly and efficiently
• Working closely with internal teams to ensure material availability and smooth operational flow

• Experience working within stores, warehouse, or materials control
• Strong experience managing goods‑in and goods‑out processes
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience using ERP or MRP systems
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities
• A proactive and reliable approach with a strong sense of ownership
