You will be joining the Purchasing department and enjoy a varied role, managing supplier relationships and import processes, amongst other things.
Responsibilities- Manage the relationships with suppliers and sub contractors.
- Develop and maintain purchasing procedures.
- Processing purchase orders.
- Negotiating with suppliers to achieve favourable pricing.
- Track deliveries and stock levels.
- Manage the import of overseas products.
- Contributing to CI initiatives, for example risk assessments, supplier approvals and contract implementation.
Proven experience within a Purchasing dept
- Ideally in manufacturing.
- Skilled with MRP systems, for example Epicor.
- Familiarity with stock control principles.
