Machine Operator

I am working with a well-established packaging company who are looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join a strong production team who are looking to add and strengthen their processes. Ideally you will have a technical mind-set with strong capabilities to take on new information and retain it.

Salary: £30,492

Hours: 6:00am – 4:00pm or 6:30am – 4:30pm

23 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Overtime paid at Time & ½

Life Insurance – 2x Salary

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with machinery experience who is looking for long-term stability, and strong earning potential through overtime.

• Setting up and operating void fill machine
• Changing master roll
• Monitoring machine performance and ensuring consistent product quality
• Carrying out routine quality checks
• Adjusting machine settings to maintain output and minimise/track waste
• Completing production paperwork accurately
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Working closely with production and warehouse teams
• Boxing void fill, tape it, wrap it and put it on pallets to be sent out.

• Previous experience as an operator on packaging machinery or other complex capital equipment.
• Technical mind-set with an ability to fault find.
• Experience with in packaging or manufacturing environments
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Desirable – Counterbalance qualification
