Join Ibstock PLC as a Stockyard Operative (FLT Driver) - Cattybrook
Ibstock PLC is seeking a talented and driven Production Operative to support our production team in Cattybrook. The successful candidate will be switching between various production roles, providing cover for sickness, holidays, or increased demand, including sorting and setting, and some forklift truck work. This role will be physically demanding and will require hard work and determination.
- Permanent Role
- 39 Hours per week or hours per day
- Shift pattern (Monday - Friday - 7.30am - 4.00pm (3pm, Friday))
- Using a FLT to move Bricks from End of Line Production and Build stacks on the yard
- Loading / Unloading trailers.
- Assist with some manual tasks - banding bricks, building bricks on pallets and assembling sample panels
- Maintaining housekeeping standards on the Yard
- Adhering to health & safety, quality and environmental systems
- Assist with Production when required
- Must hold a Counterbalance FLT certification.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible.
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude.
- Good basic literacy and numeracy and basic computer literacy.
- Team player but able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Safety‑conscious with a high awareness of Health & Safety.
- Willing to learn new equipment and take part in training.
- Experience in a hands‑on, physical role is a bonus.
