PROJECT MANAGER - SMARTSPACE

Wates are looking for a Project Manager to join our Smart Space team, taking project leadership on a range of exciting new build fit‑out and refurb projects. Our Project Managers are a valuable part of our business, and the focus of this role will be to provide visible management, insight, project coordination and foresight in the safe and compliant delivery of schemes, while also providing excellent customer satisfaction and successfully mentoring and guiding a team.

This role will involve nationwide travel in line with ongoing and upcoming projects across the UK.

• Develop project briefs, schedules and budgets, managing work from, and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
• Manage on‑site teams, coordinate subcontractors and ensure quality control of installations.
• Coordinate site access for approved subcontractors and site visitors with the client.
• Monitor project budgets, track variations, manage costs and approve progress claims.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing regular progress updates and ensuring satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards (e.g. RAMS), conduct risk assessments and maintain a safe, compliant site.
• Manage site documentation, including RFIs, change orders and snagging lists.
• Provide regular support, feedback and cover for your project director in their absence.
