Health, Safety and Facilities Co‑ordinator – Bristol
We are looking for a Health, Safety and Facilities Co‑ordinator to join our Bristol Regional Service Centre on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities- Play a central role in the smooth running and safety of our Bristol office.

- Work closely with our Group Health & Safety team to maintain compliance and support key audits.
As Health, Safety and Facilities Co‑ordinator, you will implement, review, and monitor pre‑agreed building or facilities work on‑site, as well as health and safety procedures and practices, to ensure accurate records, compliance and adherence to NFU Mutual and regulatory requirements. You will advise, guide and inform managers and employees on workplace risks, legislation, policies and safe working procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and NFU Mutual policy.
You will support and work closely with Health, Safety and Facilities Coordinators across the regional, national and Head Office teams to coordinate, monitor and record H&S training in accordance with group and legislative requirements. You will assess and evaluate, working with the Group Health and Safety team on all H&S incidents, near misses and risks in accordance with NFU Mutual policy, procedures and risk appetite to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a safe working environment and promote a positive H&S culture.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with Bristol RSC staff and leadership team, Group Properties and third parties to manage building facilities and pool car requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory and company guidelines. You will maintain, support and administer the development and testing of Business Continuity Plans working with Risk and Controls, designed to ensure continuity of service and employee welfare in the event of incidents.
You will also have the opportunity to deliver short‑term or one‑off projects and activities as required, meeting the standards and outcomes agreed with your Line Manager.
This role is based in our Regional Service Centre in Bristol. We offer great facilities when you're in the office and, depending on the demands of the role, we can support up to 20% of your hours from home.

- Experience or strong interest in health and safety.
- Good organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
- Confidence using Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel and SharePoint.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to maintaining records.
- A proactive mindset and the initiative to resolve issues before they become problems.
Experience in a health and safety role, along with IOSH or NEBOSH‑level training (or equivalent experience), is desirable, but not essential.
