Liv Green is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join the team, and take charge of policy and ensure adherence.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and pragmatically develop action plans to address any issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, providing information and documentation as required.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on compliance and health and safety topics for employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Keep abreast of developments in relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and advise management on their implications for the organization.
  • Collaborate and work positively with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance and health and safety considerations into business processes and decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
  • Make recommendations to senior leadership team including improvements, system advancements and best practice to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in a compliance or health and safety role in the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing compliance and health and safety programs.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and investigations, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
