Bath & North East Somerset Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Housing Manager to lead the effective delivery of social and supported housing services. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring high-quality housing provision, regulatory compliance, and excellent outcomes for residents.

• Manage social and supported housing schemes in line with the Regulator of Social Housing standards and requirements.
• Oversee delegated budgets, ensuring effective financial management, income optimisation, and value for money.
• Provide strong leadership and direction to teams, balancing complex and sometimes competing priorities.
• Develop and implement clear business plans and policies, using evidence-based analysis to address challenges and set strategic direction.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing challenging situations with professionalism, integrity, and resilience.

• In-depth knowledge and proven experience of managing social and supported housing schemes.
• Demonstrable experience of budget management, financial control, and service optimisation.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with a track record of delivering outcomes through teams.
• Proven ability to produce clear, strategic business plans and operational policies.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours and complex client needs calmly and effectively.

• Experience working with vulnerable and sometimes challenging individuals.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk management within a housing environment.
