Join Arcadis as a Commercial Director to lead the cost and commercial team across Residential and Commercial Development projects in South West England and South Wales.

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Director with a proven track record in service delivery excellence, team management and client account management to lead and grow the cost and commercial team in the delivery of projects ranging between £1m and £100m and beyond.

• Lead and drive the internal team, manage resources on technically complex projects / programmes.
• Motivate and manage a team of technical specialists, setting objectives and reviewing performance.
• Manage the financial performance of projects across their life cycle, ensuring profit and budgetary targets are met.
• Lead and manage the commercial aspects, supporting project management to deliver within budget and contract specifications.
• Monitor performance and behaviour of team members, ensuring organisational policies and codes of conduct are followed.
• Assure compliance with contracts in terms of delivery parameters and scope of service.
• Analyse complex information from a range of sources to improve cost management service performance.
• Continuously develop processes and lead implementation of new cost and commercial management system improvements.
• Maintain overall business relationships with key customers, identifying opportunities for improvement and new business.
• Act as a lead technical expert, providing strategic advice on cost and commercial matters.
• Build strong relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and extend services.

• Chartered professional with cost and commercial management experience, including delivery of large projects £10m–£100m+ across the entire project life cycle.
• Proven leadership ability to manage and motivate large teams.
• Experience building and utilising executive-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise, share knowledge and build relationships.
• Commercial acumen and organisational understanding.
• Knowledge of the South West market (Exeter, Bristol) and South Wales/Cardiff market a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Relevant professional qualification or chartered status.
• CSCS card holder.
