Job Description

Turner & Townsend, a leading consultancy provider to the Energy and Natural Resources sector, is looking for a Logistics Project Manager to undertake a key role on a high-profile, South West-based Energy Infrastructure project.

This role involves overseeing and optimising the management of material and equipment logistics, ensuring smooth flow of materials from warehouses across the South West to the construction site. The Manager will coordinate material deliveries, align distribution activities with project timelines, maintain safety and compliance standards, drive operational efficiency, streamline delivery processes, and manage escalations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimise the material distribution strategy.
  • Ensure seamless coordination of material deliveries to the construction site.
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards in logistics operations.
  • Drive operational efficiency and streamline material delivery processes.
  • Monitor performance and compliance of third‑party logistics organisations.
  • Address logistical challenges, manage escalations and provide strategic guidance.
Key Skills We Look For
  • Experience in logistics management within construction or large‑scale projects.
  • Background in supply chain operations and team leadership.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in warehouse or construction environments.
  • Excellent analytical, critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills – able to convey complex issues to technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
Qualifications
  • Degree‑qualified or industry experience in construction or an energy‑related subject.
  • Ideally logistics expertise in a complex, highly regulated industry.
