Salary: £52,000 per year (including £50,000 basic + £2,000 joining bonus)

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated HGV Workshop Supervisor to join our busy Bristol depot. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on technician ready to take the next step into leadership — or an established supervisor who still enjoys getting on the tools.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day workshop operations, supporting a team of technicians, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards — while still being involved in diagnostics and repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a team of HGV Technicians and Apprentices.
Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics on HGVs.
Manage workflow, job allocation, and productivity in the workshop.
Ensure all work meets DVSA and company compliance standards.
Complete and check job cards, inspection sheets, and service reports.
Support training and development of workshop staff.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.

Requirements:
Qualified HGV Technician (Level 3 or equivalent).
Proven experience in a workshop environment — ideally with supervisory or lead tech experience.
Strong technical knowledge of HGV systems and diagnostics.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work early and late shifts on a rotating basis.
Class 1 or 2 (Category C+E or

C) licence preferred, but not essential.
