General Labourer

Overview

We're currently recruiting a dedicated General Labourer to help ensure the smooth running of the operations in Defence on a full‑time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week.

• General unskilled labour tasks as requested
• General ad‑hoc cleaning tasks
• Speak and understand English
• Work flexibly in line with business requirements
• Undertake a range of manual cleaning duties
• Follow the right procedures and challenge unsafe behaviour
• Be positive and proud of doing a great job
• Share knowledge and experience with other team members
• Clear and empty recycling external bins
• Clean litter and debris as required, including carparks
• Set up conference/meeting rooms – opening and closing partitions
• Move and set up furniture
• Move/transfer bulky items (e.g. televisions) for meetings
• Prepare for any open days
• Clean car park/building entrance ways – bad weather clearance
• Period checks of cycle racks, including removal of abandoned cycles
• Clean outdoor signage
• Clean ground‑level goose poo (only at ground level)
• Clean outdoor furniture and paint when required (yearly)
