Real Estate Senior/Managing Associate - Bristol
Fantastic opportunity to join a nationally recognised Drinks, Hospitality & Leisure practice at a Top 50 law firm.
This leading national firm has a central Bristol office and a specialist team advising some of the UK's best known brewers, pub companies, restaurant groups, hotel operators and leisure brands. Their DHL practice is one of the most established in the country, acting for household name operators on the full spectrum of property led and sector specific matters.
Working at the intersection of real estate and hospitality, the team supports clients with portfolio growth, development projects, roll out programmes, estate optimisation and complex transactions. Their integrated model means you ll work closely with colleagues in corporate, employment, tax, planning, IP/media and disputes, giving you exposure to a wide range of commercial issues affecting operators in this fast moving sector.
Therole
Due to continued client demand, the firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Managing Associate with 4+ PQE to join their Bristol based DHL team. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial property experience who enjoys working with dynamic operator clients and wants to play a key part in a national, collaborative practice.
What you ll be doing- Advising major hospitality and leisure operators on freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
- Handling development and pre let arrangements, portfolio re gears and estate optimisation projects
- Managing day to day estate management matters including L&T, licences, variations, easements and ancillary agreements
- Working with specialists on operator specific issues such as TUPE, TOGC, capital allowances and licensing/regulatory considerations
- Collaborating with colleagues across the national DHL group to deliver rapid, commercially grounded advice
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development activity
- 4+ PQE in commercial real estate, ideally with experience acting for operator clients
- Strong technical grounding in acquisitions, disposals, development work and estate management
- Commercially minded with an understanding of the operational realities of hospitality and leisure businesses
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams
- Self motivated, approachable and keen to develop your own client relationships
- A team player who enjoys working at pace and delivering pragmatic, solutions focused advice
- High quality work with leading national operators across pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and leisure
