About the Role

These are exciting times at ARAG Law, as we are going through a period of positive business change and sustained growth across our legal teams. As a result, we have a new property paralegal opportunity available in our complex litigation department.

As a Property Litigation Paralegal, you’ll have the opportunity to work on diverse and complex property disputes (including small claims, fast‑track and multi‑track claims and defences). You’ll enjoy early responsibility for all stages of the claim, from inception to conclusion, including drafting statements of case and witness statements, negotiation, mediation, trial and more. We will provide all the support and training you need to be successful.

Your new role offers real challenge and an extremely varied caseload, including nuisance, trespass, property damage and negligence disputes – no two cases are ever the same. • Dealing with a range of property litigation cases on behalf of a range of clients.
• Resolving disputes in a commercial manner either via the courts or via mediation and other ADR techniques.
• Ensuring the work is delivered with a close eye to risk management and a high level of client‑service excellence.
• Being responsible for meeting an annual billing target.

You’ll have previous experience as a paralegal, handling your own caseload within a property (or general litigation) environment. You’ll also have sound knowledge of SRA standards and regulations, and data‑protection legislation including GDPR.

With strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail, you’ll be comfortable working autonomously and able to learn independently. You’ll also be confident, personable and approachable with an exceptional customer‑service focus.

• A comprehensive working knowledge of property law and civil procedure.
• Experience of running a significant caseload with appropriate supervision.
• Willingness to own each customer interaction to ensure service excellence for customers.
• Experience of case management and financial management and an understanding of the drivers behind a profitable and successful business.
• Ability to prioritise effectively and work to time‑frames and deadlines.
