Legal & Regulatory Compliance | Regional Leader | 4+ PQE

A major UK law firm with a strong presence in the South West is looking to appoint an ambitious Associate to join its specialist Risk & Compliance team. Led by senior in-house counsel, the team plays a key role in ensuring the firm meets its legal and regulatory obligations while supporting strategic projects and operational delivery.

This is a varied, high-impact role within a well-established function, offering scope to develop within a respected, collaborative firm.

• Advising on legal and regulatory compliance, including terms of engagement and audit processes
• Supporting on internal contract matters and the legal risk aspects of client pitches
• Working on bespoke projects in collaboration with senior internal stakeholders
• Advising on wider legal risk issues across the business
• Contributing to ongoing development of risk management frameworks and policies

• At least 4 years’ PQE, with experience in risk, compliance, regulatory law, or contracts
• Interest in or experience of law firm risk management
• Sound judgement and the ability to take a reasoned, measured approach
• Confidence working with a wide range of internal stakeholders
• Strong communication and drafting skills

• Exposure to a wide variety of compliance and legal risk matters
