The Opportunity
Tetra Tech is adding a hands‑on Software Licensing & Renewals Supervisor to join our Global IT Procurement & Software Licensing function. This role is ideal for someone with experience in software renewals, licence administration, or SAM who enjoys working with detail, managing request queues, and ensuring continuity of service across a large enterprise.
This role can be fully remote (UK) or hybrid from any of our UK offices. We hold monthly meetings in our Leeds office and would welcome attendance where possible, though this is not essential. Flexible working arrangements, including adjusted hours, are available to support a healthy work/life balance.
You will supervise the day to day workload of our Global Software Team, oversee software renewals throughout the licence lifecycle, triage incoming software requests, and work closely with internal IT and external vendors to keep our systems compliant and operational.
What You’ll Do Operational Software Lifecycle Management- Manage software renewals from quotation to completion, including maintenance terms, subscription cycles, and decommissioning.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve renewals, obtain quotes, confirm licensing terms, and ensure continuity of service.
- Act as Incident Manager for software requests: triage, allocate, and monitor tickets in Service Now to ensure timely fulfilment.
- Supervise and support the work of the Global Software Team, ensuring deadlines are met and no services lapse.
- Maintain accurate licence data, validate entitlements, and support compliance with vendor terms and company procedures.
- Work with IT Security, Data, and Infrastructure to vet new software requests and ensure they meet internal approval requirements.
- Prepare renewal schedules, open request reports, and usage/licensing insights for the Head of IT Procurement.
- Lead weekly team calls to review workloads, upcoming renewals, and prioritisation.
You will thrive in this role if you enjoy operational delivery, attention to detail, and structured processes. You should have experience in:
- Software licensing, SAM, software renewals, or IT procurement operations
- Service Now or similar ITSM tools
- Working with licence agreements, subscription terms, and vendor portals
- Managing request queues and working to defined deadlines
- Being organised, detail-driven, and comfortable supporting a team while staying hands‑on with daily work.
