The Platform Manager delivers the cloud platform strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. This role leads platform design, automation, and governance, manages the engineering team, and drives innovation through public cloud services to meet evolving HL needs.
** What you will be doing
*** Oversee the design, development, and implementation of the cloud platform, ensuring it meets performance, scalability, reliability, and compliance standards.
* Manage and develop the cloud platform engineering team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure the platform aligns with customers’ business requirements, technical constraints, and evolving needs through proactive engagement with stakeholders.
* Develop and optimize provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code and Dev Ops practices.
* Implement centralized management, monitoring, and governance capabilities to maintain visibility, security, and control across customer cloud environments.
* Continuously evaluate emerging public cloud services and technologies, incorporating them into the platform to enhance value and maintain competitive advantage.
** About you
*** Extensive experience in cloud platform engineering and operations, with deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures and best practices.
* Strong technical expertise in public cloud services and ability to translate business requirements into robust, scalable cloud solutions.
* Proven ability to build, lead, and motivate high-performing, cross-functional teams.
* Excellent analytical skills to navigate complex technical and organizational challenges.
* Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with customer-facing teams and align platform capabilities with business needs.
* Commitment to adopting innovative cloud technologies and modern delivery approaches.

** The interview process for this role three stages, including a task/ presentation element.
** Working Schedule
** This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL
. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern.
