Devops Consultant

SR2 are partnering with a well-established creative technology studio to hire a Dev Ops Consultant
. You'll lead a Dev Ops function that underpins multiple client deliveries, shaping cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and internal platform improvements that make engineering teams faster and happier.

• Lead and grow a Dev Ops practice across multiple client projects (strategy + hands‑on delivery)

• Own the design, build and continuous improvement of cloud infrastructure and developer tooling

• Set best-practice standards for architecture, reliability, security, automation, and CI/CD

• Mentor engineers via pairing, code reviews, feedback
  , and knowledge-sharing

• Manage and support career development (growth plans, performance, coaching)

• Drive process improvements and ensure actions land (not just talked about)

• Support RFP responses / pitches
  , estimation, planning, and delivery governance

• Run client workshops and stakeholder sessions to capture requirements and propose solutions

• Support incident management, releases, and operational readiness across environments

• Contribute to hiring/interviews to build a high‑performing team

• Proven experience leading a Dev Ops team (people leadership + delivery ownership)

• Strong AWS experience across services like Lambda, Cloud Front, API Gateway, EC2, S3, ECS

• Hands‑on Terraform (IaC) expertise and strong engineering standards

• CI/CD pipeline experience (e.g.
  Git Hub Actions, Jenkins
  ) and solid Git workflows

• Containerisation expertise (
  Docker
  , Kubernetes)

• Monitoring/logging/alerting (e.g.
  Cloud Watch, Nagios
  ) and incident management

• Solid understanding of open server stack:
  Linux, Apache, MySQL

• Comfortable operating in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven, commercial delivery environments

• Experienced with Jira/Confluence, capacity management, Agile delivery

• Confident leading technical discussions with engineers and non‑technical stakeholders

• JavaScript (React/Node), PHP or Python

• Azure or GCP exposure

• Agency / creative tech studio background

• Client presentation / workshop facilitation

• Bash scripting
