Position: Agile Business Analyst
Reporting to: Product Owner

About the roleAs an Agile Business Analyst you will work independently or with minimal guidance using agile principles and practices to solve problems and deliver value to customers. You will research, design, document, implement, configure and validate solutions to solve highly complex technical problems. You will work with a wide range of different stakeholders such as product owners, developers and users to understand and prioritise their needs and expectations.
You also help the agile team plan, execute and review each iteration or sprint.
- Lead on requirements gathering using appropriate methods to suit different situations.
- Lead on analysis of business goals and objectives to maximise benefit and drive benefit tracking to evidence outcomes and guide on future enhancements.
- Conduct Impact Assessments for all relevant work, develop mitigation strategies and prioritise required activity to mitigate impacts where appropriate.
- Manage the execution of business process improvements.
- Possess good knowledge of the goals/purpose of all regular scrum events. Actively assist the ADM in all scrum events to ensure close alignment to the principles of Scrum and help ensure that all relevant scrum team metrics are obtained.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, helping to identify and adopt practices and processes to capitalise on opportunities.
- Work with the Product Owner to help teams experiment and evaluate the design of new products and test how these will perform in the market.
- Embody a culture of end-to-end delivery. Work with all areas of the business to ensure successful delivery of all change and ensure that appropriate post‑release support and communication is planned.
- Establish and maintain central resources to ensure that stakeholders have access to all relevant information, decisions, solution designs and actions.
- Experience of delivering business analysis within an Agile delivery environment.
- Excellent eye for detail, with strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to contribute positively to Scrum events and BA meetings.
- Willing to challenge existing processes and look for ways to improve quality within development processes and the Scrum team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written to a wide range of audiences up to executive level.
- Experience working with stakeholders to understand their needs and help build a backlog of work.
- Self‑motivated and target‑driven, able to work in both a team and an autonomous environment.
- Highly organised with a logical, methodical approach to work.
