Are you someone who loves to work collaboratively with Data Product Owners, Engineers, Analysts and business SMEs to deliver a Data Management capability? If you are passionate about data management and building trusted relationships with Aviva colleagues, then this could be a great fit for you.
A bit about the job:
We have industry leading analytics practices and are investing heavily to stay ahead of the game. If you want to be at the cutting edge of modern data management practice in a large, successful business with supportive colleagues looking to pull together to harness the power of our data, then this is the place for you. Our modern offices in the heart of London’s City and Hoxton districts, and our dynamic regional offices in Norwich, Bristol and York are innovative hubs, whilst we give you the flexibility to work “smart” and be where you need to be to make your day as successful as it can be.
We are recruiting for a Data Management Lead who will work across the community of Aviva’s General Insurance data stakeholders. You will be a key member of the data governance team, with the scope and opportunity to drive implementation and adoption of data management services, standards and best practices, and to influence the approach across Aviva markets and group. You will develop and improve processes, systems and services that create a step change in the capability, culture and mindset of our people towards managing data as a product and as an asset.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Broad understanding of the mechanics behind managing the data lifecycle
- Practical experience of data management disciplines in a General Insurance context, including Metadata Management, Reference Data Management, Data Retention, Privacy Management and Data Quality – especially using Collibra or Atacama
- Understanding and experience of General Insurance semantics and data uses
- Experience with the definition of metadata content standards and data models would be an advantage
- Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders and peers, particularly those who may not be data literate
