Summary:
This role is focused on supporting a major SQL Server migration project, ensuring the stability, performance and security of the firm’s SQL Server estate throughout the transition period. You’d be planning and delivering the migration to a new SQL Server environment while also providing ongoing administration support.
Core Responsibilities- Lead analysis and assessment of the current SQL Server environment
- Define and size the target SQL Server setup
- Administer and support SQL Server environments during the transition
- Ensure stability, performance, and security of database services throughout
- Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA
- Strong understanding of SQL Server architecture, migration and optimisation
- Hands‑on with performance tuning, backups, security and high availability
