As Second Line Application Support
, you’ll have the chance to work on complex systems that underpin national security, giving you the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while making a real impact.
Day‑to‑day, you’ll provide critical technical support for a suite of software products, both commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) and bespoke solutions. You’ll be at the heart of our Service Management Team, ensuring smooth operations and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Respond to support requests via phone and email, performing diagnostic and corrective actions.
- Record, update, and close support tickets using ITIL compliant processes.
- Provide clear communication and progress updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain applications in production environments through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Ensure service delivery meets agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Babcock Technology Centre.
Essential Experience- Technical awareness gained in a service or software development environment.
- Strong Oracle or SQL database administration skills.
- Analytical mindset with a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
- Passion for software and delivering excellent customer service.
- Diagnostic skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- ITIL certification (essential).
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
