Hi I’m Jon, the Product & Solutions Lead at Hawk‑Eye. We are looking for a Security Engineer with a strong foundation in application and cloud security to help protect our organisation’s digital assets and support the secure development of our products and infrastructure.
You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security best practices across the software development lifecycle.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the security posture of a fast-moving technology environment while growing your expertise in modern cloud and application security.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct security reviews and audits of applications and cloud infrastructure
- Implement augmentations to the software development lifecycle (SDLC) e.g. threat modelling, SAST, SCA, DAST
- Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in applications and cloud environments
- Contribute to and maintain security documentation and processes
- Support incident response activities and post‑incident analysis
- Provide clear and actionable security guidance to stakeholders
- Design pragmatic security solutions aligned with business processes and security strategy
- Partner with Hawk‑Eye’s commercial department and existing clients to provide security assurance for services provided.
- Interface with the parent company and other sports businesses on shared initiatives
- Strong understanding of application and cloud security principles
- Experience identifying and fixing security flaws in modern application architectures
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and Dev Sec Ops
- Self‑starter with the ability to obtain required context from a variety of sources
- Ability to take ownership of projects and collaborate across disciplines
- Skilled at communicating complex security concepts in clear, simple language
- Experience working with or recommending security tools and technologies
- Ability to build strong working relationships and influence non‑security stakeholders
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g. OWASP, NIST, CIS)
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 3+ years of experience in information security, with a focus on application and/or cloud security
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Certifications (e.g. CCSP, CISM, OSCP, Security+) are a plus
- Implementation of a new SAST and SCA platform, integrating into existing continuous integration workflows. Working with developers to remediate findings.
- Integrate a new CNAPP, and support Dev Ops in prioritisation, remediation, and long‑term democratisation of findings.
- Work with SOC to define SIEM use‑cases which are specific to Hawk‑Eye, and redesign the log ingestion pipeline.
- Join a growing development team and define how security simultaneously reduces risk and gives the team the space to innovate.
- Grow & gain experience across a broad range of security domains and environments. Securing everything from the cutting edge to legacy systems through their full lifecycle.
- Influence the security strategy for Hawk‑Eye products, solutions, and development environments.
You’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive team where security is seen as a critical enabler, not a blocker. We’re growing fast, and you’ll have room to grow too, both technically and professionally.
If you’re excited to drive real change, build secure systems from the ground up, and grow your cloud security career, we’d love to hear from you.
