About The Role

RAC has an exciting opportunity for an Agile Delivery Lead to join our Digital function. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our product and engineering ecosystem, a hybrid of Scrum Master, delivery manager, and release coordinator focused on helping our software engineers work together as efficiently and effectively as possible.

You’ll guide teams through fast paced sprints, oversee releases to web and app, and ensure the right people are working on the right things at the right time. If you’re passionate about agile delivery, thrive in collaborative digital environments, and enjoy enabling teams to do their best work, this is your chance to make a real impact in a business that’s evolving rapidly.

What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the end-to-end agile delivery process across multiple digital product teams building websites and mobile applications.
  • Act as a Scrum Master and delivery manager, embedding strong processes, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure resource plans make sense, aligning people, skills and priorities across teams.
  • Make sure releases to web/app are in the right place at the right time, coordinating with engineering, testing and product.
  • Facilitate key agile ceremonies including planning, review, retro, refinement, 3 Amigos and daily scrums.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Testers and Dev Ops to maintain a robust, repeatable delivery process.
  • Coach teams to become more self‑managing, pragmatic and outcome focused.
  • Support Product Managers with backlog prioritisation, dependency management and communication to senior leadership.
  • Balance value delivery with technical maintenance, working closely with Engineering Managers.
  • Report on delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, active work focus and release quality.
  • Act as a liaison point across teams, helping find universal solutions and the right path forward.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience working in an agile environment, with transferable skills from Scrum Master, project management or digital delivery roles.
  • Strong understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and delivery tools such as Jira or Azure Dev Ops.
  • Experience working on large, complex web or mobile application platforms.
  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle; you don’t need to write code, but you must be comfortable working with people who do.
  • Excellent communication and people skills; you’re as strong with humans as you are with processes.
  • Ability to negotiate, prioritise, pick your battles and find pragmatic solutions.
  • Resilience and calm under pressure; this is a fast paced digital environment with lots of moving parts.
Desirable Experience
  • Understanding of web and app technologies (React, .NET, CMS).
  • Knowledge of branching, merging and release processes (Trunk based development, CI/CD, automation testing).
  • Experience analysing delivery metrics using tools such as Plandex.
  • Experience coordinating releases across multiple teams working on the same codebase.
  • Background in digital product development, software engineering or project management.
Qualifications & Background
  • 3+ years’ experience in an Agile environment.
  • Experience leading delivery for multiple concurrent teams.
  • Background in web or mobile app domains.
  • Scrum Master qualification or equivalent.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • You care about WHAT is being delivered just as much as you care about HOW it is being delivered.
  • You’re collaborative, people focused and able to build trust quickly.
  • You enjoy coaching, guiding and helping teams work better together.
  • You’re pragmatic, resilient and able to navigate competing priorities.
  • You thrive in fast paced, iterative environments with lots happening at once.
  • You’re a strong negotiator who can find the right path and universal solutions.
  • You live our RAC values:
Handle it Together, Exceptional Service, Raise the Bar, Own It.
