Machine Learning Engineer – AWS

The Data Science & AI Specialist executes a range of work streams in applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI techniques to obtain value from the full range of all BT data sets, transforming high volumes of complex data from across the BT group into practical insights and analytic solutions that support the Group's data strategies and strategic decision making.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the extraction and analysis of big data using advanced analytics and AI techniques to generate insights across the business.

Drive model development: data exploration, training data, feature extraction, validation, and scoring.

Develop insightful visualisations that make sophisticated analyses accessible to a broad audience.

Lead initiatives related to fairness, ethics, interpretability, safety, robustness, and privacy in AI/ML.

Mentor other Data Science & AI professionals as a technical resource.

Champion and share emerging trends and changes in machine learning and AI with the team.

Experience Required

2–3+ years of proven success applying Data Science or developing AI algorithms and models.
Experience with AWS cloud services for scalable AI and data solutions.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java and strong knowledge of AI/ML libraries.
Solid understanding of software architecture, data modelling, and data structures.
Knowledge of data governance practices ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.
Comprehensive understanding of ethical considerations in AI and ability to develop fair and responsible AI solutions.
