This is a hands‑on technical role, leading the delivery of IT platforms across both on‑premises and cloud environments. You’ll be involved in building and supporting systems, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and aligned to project goals. The role includes close collaboration with project managers, architects, and security teams, as well as contributing to testing, documentation, and smooth hand‑over into operational support.

You’ll need proven experience in infrastructure engineering with a strong background in Microsoft technologies, cloud (particularly Azure), and virtualisation. A good understanding of IT security, networking, and hybrid environments is key. You’ll be comfortable working with different stakeholders and able to balance technical detail with practical delivery.

Note:

you must be willing to undergo high‑level security clearance.

• Several years in an infrastructure or systems engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Azure).
• Familiarity with virtualisation, networking, and identity management.
• Solid understanding of IT security standards and practices.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Industry certifications in Microsoft, cloud, networking, or security.
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting.
• Awareness of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials Plus.

Base salary: up to £63,000

• Pension contribution up to 12.5%
