Senior Consultant – Cyber Security for Safety

Frazer‑Nash Consultancy is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our growing Cyber Security for Safety (CSS) capability in the Digital Systems Assurance group. This role will involve leading the delivery of cyber security artefacts that support safety assurance in regulated safety‑critical environments, and shaping secure, resilient systems across aerospace, defence and transport domains.

• Lead the delivery of Cyber Security for Safety artefacts in line with relevant standards such as DO‑326A, ED‑202A, and ED‑203A.
• Conduct threat analysis, risk assessments, and define security requirements and architectures.
• Review and verify technical documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
• Integrate cyber security into safety‑critical software assurance activities (e.g. DO‑178C, DO‑254).
• Support system and safety assessments aligned with ARP
  4754A, ARP
  4761, and Def Stan 00‑970.
• Engage with clients to understand needs, shape solutions, and influence programme outcomes.
• Scope and cost technical work, and contribute to bids, proposals, and business development.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to capability development.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and domains including aerospace, defence, and transport.

• Practitioner-level experience in DO‑326A and associated standards (DO‑356A, DO‑355).
• EUROCAE Aircraft Cyber Security Training or equivalent.
• Proven track record delivering cyber security artefacts in safety‑critical environments.
• Experience in safety‑critical software assurance (e.g. IEC 61508, DO‑178C, DO‑254).
• Familiarity with system and safety assessment standards (ARP
  4754A, ARP
  4761, Def Stan 00‑970, Def Stan 00‑55, Def Stan 00‑56).
• Understanding of broader cyber frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 27001/27005, NIST SP 800‑53/800‑160).
• Strong consultancy experience, including scoping, costing and proposal development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience leading technical teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and organisations.
